Welcome to the
Manitoba Association of
Senior Support Coordinators

The Association of Senior Support Coordinators (ASSC) is a provincial network dedicated to
strengthening services and supports for older adults throughout Manitoba. Our members work
collaboratively across regions to enhance the quality of life for seniors through leadership,
advocacy, and innovation in community-based service delivery.
The work of the Senior Support Coordinators is unique. These front-line positions are held by
caring and compassionate people in community. Out of a desire to have a network to support one
another, in 1993, an Association of Seniors Support Coordinators was formed. The Association
unites individuals from across the province of Manitoba who receive grants from Manitoba
Health under the Support Services to Seniors Program. With the goal of having all four corners
of the province represented, the ASSC strives to maintain a board that is comprised of
individuals from all regions of Manitoba. Officers of the Association are chosen by the
membership at the Annual General Meeting. For continuity, all positions are two-year terms.
Representing coordinators from both rural and urban areas, the ASSC serves as a unified voice
for professionals who support Manitoba’s aging population. We are committed to fostering
connection, sharing best practices, and promoting excellence in the field of senior services.
We invite you to explore our work, connect with our members, and join us in advancing the well-
being and independence of older adults across Manitoba.
